The first evidence of Eck fans appears in an 1897 Electrical Age ad that was placed by Roth and Eck with the tagline “Going, going, gone-buy a fan for fifteen dollars.” It can be inferred from this that Eck’s relationship with Roth was short lived.
In 1904, Eck developed a type of gear oscillator that was the first of its kind.
